Soundbath & Meditation
SOUND HEALING AND MEDITATION HAS BEEN A
part of the healing practices of many indiginous cultures for thousands of years.
The research suggests that the vibrational tones created by the sound bath instruments create a deeper state of relaxation while turning off your body’s sympathetic fight-flight-freeze reflex. Studies show sound healing improves distressed mood, tension and anxiety significantly. Research also suggests improvements in blood pressure, heart rate as well as pain perception.

At Onea, we believe in the power of the centuries old practice of meditation. Research also supports meditation’s power to help with post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, psoriasis, fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, depression, anxiety and chronic pain. Long-term, consistent meditation increases resilience to stress, likely by dampening activity in our amygdala (an area in the brain known to process fear and threatening stimuli).
Meditation is found to increase brain size, especially in the parts of the brain that deal with attention and processing incoming signals. Research also points out that meditation slows the rate of “cortical thinning”, suggesting that it may help slow some aspects of cognitive aging.
